A new era of innovation has begun in Anambra State. On Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS) officially launched its operational space inside Activ8 Hub, marking a major milestone for the state’s growing digital ecosystem.
As a thriving innovation hub in Awka, Activ8 Hub continues to deliver on its promise of creating opportunities for collaboration, growth, and digital transformation and the launch of the GEFAS Space is a clear testament to that mission.
The unveiling of the GEFAS Space is directly aligned with Governor Charles Soludo’s Anambra 2.0 agenda, which focuses on using digital technology to drive grassroots innovation, empower youth, and promote inclusive economic development across the state.
The newly unveiled GEFAS Space features a fully equipped tech workstation, a call center, and an interview/media studio. All these are designed not only to boost digital infrastructure but also provide a platform for real-time communication, digital engagement, and media production in a tech-centric environment. This makes Activ8 Hub the best workspace in Awka for forward thinking tech communities.
The launch event brought together stakeholders, influential leaders and public sector executives, showing strong government support for tech-driven progress.
Notable attendees included Chief Chike Anyaonu, MD, Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), Managing Director, Anambra State ICT Agency, Hon. Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser on Political Matters and Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), who delivered a resounding endorsement of the project and assured the group of the Governor’s full support.
Their presence reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to enabling private sector-led innovations that serve the public’s good.
